Strollin Moms are pounding the pavement in south Tulsa two days a week.

The U.S. Surgeon General says America needs to "Step It Up," that's what he calls his new program to promote walking and walkable communities.

So a new program started by the brand new Fleet Feet store in Broken Arrow couldn’t be more appropriate.

The little group of moms, kids, one grandma and I walked around the Rose District in Broken Arrow.

The new Fleet Feet store there on Main Street is starting its Strollin’ Moms program.

Lori Dreiling and her husband own the store and she said Oklahoma needs to get fitter and this program will help.

“Just get out here, have a good time and get to know some other moms who want to get fit," she said.

And that's what this is all about. It's not a support group, but it could be like one – walking, and talking, sharing information and getting healthier.

"You'll reduce your weight, you'll reduce your stress, you're gonna sleep better, think better," Dreiling said.

It's the moving that's important she said.

Strollin Moms meets at the Fleet Feet store in Broken Arrow on Monday and Wednesday and at the Kingspointe Village store on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10:00.
