Tulsa Police say a man wanted in connection to a 7-year-old murder case has turned himself in. Gregory Epperson is in the Tulsa jail being held without bond on a first-degree murder complaint.

Homicide Sergeant Dave Walker put out a wanted notice Saturday for Epperson in connection with a missing Tulsa man. Ray Johnson Jr. has been missing since September 2008. His car was found in front of his business with blood inside the trunk.

The vehicle had blood evidence inside the trunk and had been cleaned with bleach, police say.

Johnson ran a used car shop at 6000 North Peoria. The investigation into his disappearance continued until charges were filed on July 10, 2015.

Walker announced that Epperson, 39, turned himself in Sunday. His arraignment is scheduled for July 17, 2015.
