Tulsa Police Identify Suspects, Victim In Holiday Weekend Shooting

Tulsa police released the names of the suspects and victim in a fatal shooting over the Fourth of July weekend.

Tulsa police released the names of the suspects and victim in a fatal shooting over the Fourth of July weekend.

Just after noon on July 5, 2015, Tulsa police said they responded to a shooting in the 3100 block of East Woodrow Place.

According to Tulsa Police Sergeant, Dave Walker, when first responders arrived they found 33-year-old Craig Wingard shot.

Walker said he was taken to a Tulsa hospital and died July 8, 2015.

During their investigation, Walker said they learned Wingard was attempting to recover items that were stolen from him. Walker said during a confrontation, William Campbell, 17, shot Wingard several times with a small caliber rifle.

Walker said after the shooting, Campbell left with 32-year-old Sarah Helton.

Campbell is described as a white male around 5-feet-10-inches tall and 160 pounds. Helton is described as a white female, 5-feet-5-inches tall and 150 pounds.

Campbell is wanted for first-degree murder and Helton is wanted for accessory to first-degree murder.
