Glitch Forces New York Stock Exchange To Halt Trading

The New York Stock Exchange halted trading Wednesday morning.

In a statement to CBS News, the NYSE said, “We’re currently experiencing a technical issue that we’re working to resolve as quickly as possible."

Worries about China's stock market slide had driven trading in U.S. markets lower Wednesday morning before trading was halted on the NYSE.

A Department of Homeland Security official said there's no evidence that the glitch was the result of any kind of cyber attack.
