Muskogee Police Make Armed Robbery, Drug Trafficking Arrests

Muskogee police made arrests two separate cases on Tuesday -- a drug bust and an armed robbery.

About noon, officers said they served a search warrant in the 700 block of Houston and found 2 ounces of crystal methamphetamine and approximately $5,000 in cash, a news release says.

Natasha Poafpybitty-Caughman, 28, was arrested for drug trafficking, possession of drug proceeds and possession of paraphernalia.

Charity Duncan, 29, was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Just before midnight on Tuesday, officers were dispatched because of a report of a robber armed with a hammer at the Kum N Go on East Shawnee.

The alleged robber left the store before officers arrived, MPD said. During a search of the area, a passerby told police they saw a man “walking with purpose” westbound outside of the search area.

The Muskogee County Sheriff's Office caught up with Alan Reed, 22, who was positively identified by store witnesses, the release says.

Reed was arrested for armed robbery.
