Tulsa Police: Woman Stabbed Boyfriend Over Cheating Fears

Police arrested a woman they say admitted to stabbing her boyfriend during an argument late Monday.

Officers said the stabbing occurred at the Executive Inn on East 11th Street, just east of Garnett at 11:56 p.m.. 

Police were called to the motel about a fight and stabbing. They found the victim lying on a bed with a stab wound to the abdomen. Police said Jodie Wood, 41, was standing by the bed and told them, "I stabbed him." 

Wood said she had been dating the victim for four years. Police said she admitted she got angry with the victim and punched then stabbed him with a large knife because she thought he was cheating on her. She also admitted to drinking vodka prior to the fight. 

Police booked Jodie Wood into the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of domestic assault and battery with a deadly weapon. 

EMSA took the 41-year-old victim to a hospital. There is no word on his condition.
