Good Samaritans saved a woman during a purse snatching in the parking lot of a Warehouse Market Sunday morning.

They chased the suspect and held him for police, and it was all caught on camera.

The woman was walking to her car when a man approached her, grabbed her purse off her shoulder, knocked her to the ground and threatened her before taking off.

At first, there on the ground in tremendous pain, she felt she was all alone, but she started screaming for help and boy, oh boy, did help come.

"I thought ‘I'm so alone, so alone here' and I rolled onto my side and started screaming as loud as I could, ‘somebody please help me.' I just didn't stop, I couldn't stop," the woman said.

Two stock boys came running - as did others – after hearing her cries for help. Surveillance video shows they chased the suspect across the parking lot and caught up to him.

After some tussling, he threw her purse and took off again.

They said he had a knife, so one of the men grabbed a tire iron out of a truck and they managed to get him on the ground and hold him for police.

Officers arrested Timothy Towe for robbery. Records show he's an ex-con who served less than nine years of a 20-year prison sentence for second degree murder for a vehicle fatality.

Police said he told them he robbed the woman because he's broke and has a drug problem.

The woman is overwhelmed by gratitude for the courage these strangers displayed.

"They took off after him, they were awesome," she said. "They were fearless."

She can't wait to meet and thank them, but said no matter what she does, it will still be impossible to tell them how truly thankful she is to all those who ran to help her in her time of need.

"I just kept telling them, thank you, thank you, thank you for helping me," she said.

After the incident, the woman had a knot on her head and has to have surgery on her broken wrist.

She believes the only people who deserve attention, are the heroes who helped her.
