A Owasso man in critical condition had to be flown to a hospital after his motorcycle collided with a car on Saturday afternoon, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.

Thomas Edward Cleary, 57, was driving a 1980 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he drifted left of center and struck 38-year-old Jennie Marie Gates, of Locust Grove, who was driving a 2015 BMW, according to a collision report.

Gates was not injured in the wreck, which took place in Mayes County on County Roads 437 and 550 about 5:30 p.m.

The investigating trooper said Cleary's condition was apparently normal. He was not wearing a helmet, the report said, but Gates was properly restrained.
