Country superstar and Oklahoma native Blake Shelton will be featured on 60 Minutes. Shelton's interview will be aired Sunday, November 2. The show is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.
Shelton is an Ada native who has a ranch near Tishomingo with wife and fellow country star Miranda Lambert.
The CBS show's web site features a preview of the interview where Shelton is asked about the popularity of his genre. Shelton said he thinks music fans can relate both to the music and the singers.
"I know for me, when I go home, I hunt and I fish and I plant corn," he said. "I drive back roads - I literally do the things that I sing about."
He also defends country music from critics who say it all sounds the same.
"Get over it," he tells Norah O'Donnell of CBS News.
"I like pretty girls, and I like drinking, and I like singing about it."
