Oklahoma voters head to the polls Nov. 4. One of the choices they'll be making is who will replace Janet Barresi as State Superintendent.
Candidates John Cox and Joy Hofmeister made their cases to voters at a forum hosted by the Temple Israel Brotherhood on Sunday morning.
Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Matt Silverstein was at the forum and said voters need to choose a senator who be bipartisan.
"Neither side is going to have 60 votes in the Senate, and so the question that voters need to ask themselves is, ‘Which person do you think would best actually do well working across the aisle?'" Silverstein said.
Republican Senator Jim Inhofe was also invited to the forum, but he declined the invitation.
Hofmeister and Cox will face each other again at a debate on Tuesday at OSU-Tulsa at 7 p.m. The debate will be streamed online at NewsOn6.com.
