A Midwest City man is in a Missouri jail after he was arrested for firing a gun during a road rage incident on October 10, 2014 on I-44.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said deputies received a report of a driver who shot at a semi in the eastbound lanes of I-44 near Pacific, Missouri. The truck driver said he saw a muzzle flash and hear a bullet his his cab as a vehicle passed his truck.
Deputies determined a bullet had struck the driver side door, entered the cab hitting the driver's head rest and coming to rest inside the seat's padding. The driver was not injured.
Police stopped a vehicle driven by William Jordan, 22, near the I-44 and I-270 interchange. Police said Jordan admitted shooting at the truck during a road rage incident.
Deputies arrested Jordan on two complaints of first-degree assault and two complaints of armed criminal action. He is being held in the Franklin County jail on a $75,000 bond with a court hearing set for October 16, 2014.
