Three juvenile suspects in an elementary school playground arson have been identified from surveillance video.
The school district just approved the money to replace the play set that was torched.
At Eliot Elementary there's a big empty spot on the playground where there used to be a play set, but that was lost in a fire, so the children just have swings for the time being.

The fire was August 5th - just two weeks before the start of school - and it ruined the biggest piece of equipment on the playground.
The fire was during the night and investigators quickly determined it was set by an arsonist.
It turns out there were three kids involved, spotted on surveillance video at the school when the fire started.

They were identified by campus police from the video, and that information has been sent on to the fire marshal's office for more investigation. The decision on prosecution is up to the district attorney's office.
The new play set costs about $ 8,075 and will look like the one just built at Clinton Elementary.
It's bigger than the old one at Eliot, but the kids there won't get to enjoy it for a while.
Construction starts in January and won't take long, but it's still going to be the middle of winter when it's done.
