Ray Saari scored the game-winning goal for the Tulsa men's soccer team en route to a 1-0 win over Missouri State on Tuesday night in Springfield, Mo. TU moved to 4-4-1 on the season, while MSU fell to 4-3-2 overall. "We had a total buy-in in terms of the defensive effort tonight," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "We were tremendous in our commitment to winning the ball, we were well-organized, we connected and combined well in the midfield, and it was really a complete and disciplined performance. This was a good step for us."
Saari netted his second goal of the season at the 70:34 mark and Zack Stavrou earned the assist.
Aymar Sigue and Bradley Bourgeois each had two shots, while four others had one attempt. Brandon Hanat played all 90 minutes between the posts for two saves and a shutout.
