An Inola man crashed his motorcycle after hitting a deer on a Rogers County road early Tuesday. Troopers say Michael Wilson was northbound on Highway 88 near EW 550 just before 6 a.m. when a deer ran out in front of his 2008 Kawasaki.
The bike traveled 190 feet on its side before coming to rest, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol collision report.
Wilson, 36, was taken by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital. He was in serious condition with injuries to his head and spine, the report states.
The investigating trooper says Wilson was in apparently normal condition at the time of the wreck. He was not wearing a helmet.
