A Sapulpa man was critically injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday evening in Tulsa County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Robert Lee Vandygriff was eastbound on Coyote Trail at the intersection of Campbell Creek Road just after 5 p.m. when he lost control of his 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle and wrecked, a collision report states. Troopers say the 53-year-old Vandygriff was found about 42 feet from the point of initial impact.

Vandygriff was taken by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital with head and internal injuries. He was not wearing a helmet, troopers say.

The report lists the cause of the collision as exceeding the legal speed limit. The Sapulpa man was in apparently normal condition before the crash, the report states.
