Sand Springs Police have located a missing 77-year-old man. Jackie Wayne Owens was found in Arizona, according to Deputy Chief of Police Mike Carter.

He is safe and will be reunited with his family, Carter said.

Owens told his wife he was going to Atwood's Thursday morning, September 11, 2014, but did not return to his home. Authorities say the vehicle's PikePass was used at about 7:30 p.m. near Antlers, and that they knew of no reason for Owens to be in that area.

Owens, who was recently diagnosed with dementia, was described as a white male with brown eyes and grayish-white hair. He is 5'10" tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a gray windbreaker, blue jeans, white shoes and an OU ball cap.

Deputy Chief of Police Mike Carter said Owens was driving a light brown 2002 Ford four-door pickup. There is duct tape on the passenger side mirror.
