Heavy Traffic Expected On 11th Street As TU's Football Season Begins

The college football season kicks off Thursday evening as the University of Tulsa hosts Tulane at Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium on 11th Street. 

Kickoff is 7:04 p.m. and the stadium gates open at 5:30 p.m. 

The Tulsa Police Department says traffic on 11th and neighboring streets around the University of Tulsa campus will be heavy with a lot of pedestrian traffic starting earlier in the afternoon and drivers not headed to the game might consider a different route this afternoon. 

Thursday's football is one of only two home games that take place on a weekday. The next one is Friday, November 28th when TU hosts East Carolina.
