A Tulsa man was arrested about 24 hours after being released from jail, according to police. Ryan Zachary Thompson, 29, is back in David L. Moss Jail a few hours after bonding out.
Thompson had been arrested earlier this month after police say he was caught with marijuana, Xanax and Valium on his person when they went to a possible overdose at Apache Manor public housing. Jail records show he was released on bond just before 10 p.m. August 20, 2014.
At about 9:30 p.m. the next evening, a man called police to report a burglary from his vehicle parked at the QuikTrip on East Admiral Place and North Delaware Avenue.
"The victim stated he saw the suspect Ryan Thompson with his $600 pair of sunglasses," the arrest report states. The man told officers he asked Thompson to returned the sunglasses, and Thompson threatened to beat him up if he called police.
The victim told police that some women with Thompson got the glasses and returned them to him, but he still wanted to report the crime.
Police arrested Thompson in the 2400 block of North New Haven just after 11 p.m., returning him to David L. Moss. They also booked him on a complaint of resisting arrest after police say Thompson refused to get into the patrol car and tried to pull away.
Court records show Thompson was convicted of obtaining a controlled drug by a forged or altered prescription in 2011.
