A Grove man was sentenced Monday in Ottawa County court to 30 years in prison following his guilty plea on a shooting with intent to kill charge.
Noah Shields, 20, entered his plea in April in connection with a June 2013 shooting at a Miami home.
Police said Shields fired a shotgun several times at Stoney Sisco during a confrontation striking the victim in the back and legs. He was arrested later the same day in Montgomery County, Kansas just north of Bartlesville.
Police said Shields was looking for his wife and daughter who he thought were inside Sisco's home.
