Claremore Man Arrested After Wrecking His SUV

A driver was taken into custody after a single-vehicle wreck at about 4 a.m. Saturday in Tulsa. The man was eastbound on Interstate 44 about a mile west of 161st Street when he lost control of his SUV and hit a guardrail.

The driver, 24-year-old Matthew James Turpel of Claremore, had minor injuries in the wreck.

He was arrested for misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol.
