Bartlesville Police arrested a woman they say threatened a man with a "large hunting-style knife" while forcing her way inside a man's home.

Officers were called to the home in the 1800 block of Middle Path on April 1, 2014.

According to a court affidavit, the man told officers he pushed Tara Simmons, 26, back outside and locked the front door to protect four children inside the home. He said Simmons then used the knife to puncture the two front tires of his vehicle.

The Washington County District Attorney's Office charged Simmons with first-degree burglary, assault with a dangerous weapon and injury to vehicle.

At a court hearing the next day, a judge ordered Simmons held on a $50,000 bond. Court records show Tara Simmons has a court appearance set for May 2, 2014.
