Tulsa police say the man they're looking for in connection with a weekend homicide appears to be the same man who robbed a bank in Monett, Missouri on Monday.

Scott Platz is their person of interest in Tulsa's most recent homicide. Detectives are trying to find him to question him about a man found dead in a garage apartment Sunday night.

Police said a man flagged down officers during an unrelated traffic stop a few blocks away on South Peoria at about 11:40 p.m. Sunday. He told police he had gone to the apartment to check on a man who he worked with and found the man dead.

Detectives believe Mason Connor Orr, 22, was killed while he was asleep on a couch inside the apartment near 41st and Rockford. Police said Orr had severe trauma to the head, but there were no signs of any type of struggle.

Tulsa Police Sgt. Dave Walker said no weapon was recovered.

Connor was found late Sunday night, but police say he may have been killed on Saturday. Investigators say Platz and the victim lived together in the apartment, but neither is from Oklahoma.

Off came to Tulsa just last month from Wyoming, and Platz moved here last fall.

"We're doing everything we can to locate Mr. Platz or locate anyone that had seen him in the last week or so," said Sergeant Dave Walker, with Tulsa Homicide.

If you have information on Platz's whereabouts, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS or the Homicide Tip Line at 918-798-8477.
