Tulsa Police credit their helicopter and a K-9 officer with the arrest of a man on a stolen motorcycle late Wednesday.

It all started at a traffic stop at 31st and Memorial at 11:45 p.m.

Police said the motorcycle rider took off and led officers on a chase with speeds reaching 80 mph.

The police helicopter tracked to cycle to an area near 61st Street South and 72nd East Avenue where the crew saw the rider get off the bike.

Police said a K-9 officer led them to Larry Benton, 46.

They booked Benton into the Tulsa County jail on complaints including eluding and possession of a stolen vehicle.
