The superintendent of a rural Cherokee County school hopes surveillance photos lead to the person who stole three air conditioners last month.
Shady Grove School Superintendent Fred Ferguson says the thief took the units on September 27, and they've been replaced.
Ferguson said a security camera captured the thief just before he sprayed paint on the surveillance camera lens. A second camera was also broken.
Ferguson said the air conditioning theft and damage to the cameras cost about $5,000.
Shady Grove School is located northeast of Hulbert.
The sheriff's office is still investigating. No one has been arrested.
