Jayson Langfels' ninth-inning RBI single lifted the Drillers to a 4-3 home win Wednesday night.
Thursday, he took it a step further.
Langfels led off the top of the 11th with a solo blast to left field, giving Tulsa a 4-3 lead it wouldn't relinquish. The win is the Drillers' fifth in its past seven tries.
The game was tied 1-1 in the top of the fourth when Tulsa's Dustin Garneau crushed a home run to left to give the Drillers the 2-1 edge. Later that inning, Jaron Shepherd drove home Langfels with a single through the left side to make the score 3-1 Tulsa.
Arkansas battled back to tie it with two runs in the bottom of the sixth, but couldn't get the go-ahead run across.
Cole White pitched two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win for Tulsa, while Christian Bergman tossed seven innings, allowing three runs and earning a no-decision. Mike Morin took the loss for Arkansas.
Game 2 of the four-game series is Friday night in Arkansas as the Drillers look to make it three wins in a row.
