A Tulsa toddler found wandering alone late at night has been in DHS custody all day, but is expected to be reunited with her mother Tuesday evening.
Around 11:30 Monday night, Angela Brown and a neighbor saw the cute little girl alone in the dark in their neighborhood near Garrison and 55th Place North in Tulsa.
"When she wandered out in the road, my mom instincts kicked in and I was like 'Okay, we've got to get this baby,'" Brown said.
Brown said the little girl couldn't give any clues, at all, who she belonged to or where she was supposed to be staying.
"She was too young to give a name, baby babble. It was 'cookie,' 'puppy,' that was pretty much all you could get out of her," Brown said.

Brown said the little girl wasn't scared or timid, but was a little dirty. So, she cleaned her up, changed her diaper, got her to sleep and then started going door-to-door to try to find her parents.
When that failed, she called police.
"The baby's safe, that's what is most important to us. All the other stuff we can work out later on," said Sgt. Dedlorn Sanders.
Turns out, police had a lot of other stuff to work out. They say the girl's mother called police when she saw media reports about her daughter.
She said the girl was supposed to be staying with a babysitter at her brother's house.
"That's what she says, she left the baby here to spend the night. That's not what they said. They said the baby left with her, so we have conflicting stories," Sanders said.
Police questioned her brother and determined the girl had stayed at the house.
But the brother, angry about the whole situation, said everyone was asleep and unaware the 19-month-old had even been left there.
Investigators think the girl let herself out of the house, so no charges are expected.
"[They] did have a loose front screen. You just lean on it and it pops right open, so I can see how the baby could have gotten out," Sander said.
Police aren't releasing anything further, since it is now being handled by DHS.
The family has confirmed DHS has also taken custody of the brother's daughter.
Tonight at 9 and 10, Lacie Lowry will have what the little girl's mom has to say about what happened.
