Tulsa Police Monday afternoon arrested a man wanted for domestic assault and battery, threatening an act of violence and violating a protective order. Edgardo Rincon was named their most wanted for the week and arrested hours later.
Rincon failed to appear in court on charges stemming from his reported abuse of an ex-girlfriend, according to court documents.
The 32-year-old man is accused breaking the woman's nose and threatening to set her and her house of fire. In a protective order, the ex-girlfriend also says he also shot at her twice, held a gun to her head and wrapped a telephone cord around her neck to choke her.
"On 12-13-2012 the defendant Edgardo Rincon threatened to burn the hair of my head to make me bald. He also threatened to burn my house down," she said in the order.
She also says she fears for her life in testifying against her former boyfriend.
In some court documents, Rincon is referred to as Edcardo Rincon.
There was a reward out for Rincon's arrest, police said. It's unknown whether anyone claimed that reward.
Officers arrested Rincon after conducting surveillance on a residence in the 1000 block of North 77th East Avenue Monday. Police arrested him in the front yard, as he approached a car.
According to the arrest report, officers found a crystal-like substance in his pocket, which tested positive for methamphetamine in a field test.
He was booked into Tulsa County jail on a $112,500 bond.
