OHP: Driver Falls Asleep, Car Hits Tulsa Highway Cable Barrier

A car headed north on Highway 75 crashed into the cable barrier near 56th Street North early Wednesday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the driver apparently fell asleep shortly before the 2:30 a.m. crash. 

Troopers say the driver wasn't seriously injured.

The OHP said the cable barrier prevented the man's car from crossing into the southbound lanes, which could have caused a head-on crash.
