Oklahoma's Turnpike Authority To Be Honored

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) will be honored by the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA), with an Excellence Award for how it reacted to a fire which destroyed the OTA's Pikepass customer service center in 2011.

The turnpike authority said on September 26, 2011, its customer service center was destroyed in a fire.

Within 24 hours, the center was back up and operating at an alternative site until it moved back into the original center in May 2012.

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority will be honored at the association's annual meeting this fall.
