Man Charged In 2011 Tulsa Homicide Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter

A Tulsa man pleaded guilty to a deadly shooting at the Bradford Creek Apartments, back in 2011.

In exchange for the guilty plea, 28-year-old Jose Lopez was convicted of manslaughter instead of murder.

Prosecutors say Lopez and Edin Orlando-Lopez Ayala, 27, got into a fight with another man in the apartment's parking lot. They've never said what the fight was all about, only that 27-year-old Francisco Jimenez was shot in the chest and died.

Lopez was sentenced to 10 years behind bars.

Ayala is scheduled to go to trial next month.
