The Spartan College of Aeronautics student accused of opening fire at his classmates' apartment was charged Friday.

Along with one count of first degree murder, Mark Hopkins, 41, also faces four counts of shooting with intent to kill.

Police say they're still trying to understand why Hopkins shot four of his fellow Spartan students on February 21.

One of them, 18-year-old Chaz Fain, was killed. All four victims were from out of state.
