A Pocola man is dead after a four-wheel ATV crash on Saturday.

Pocola Police Chief Steve Howard said Terry Childers, 51, wasn't found by family members until Sunday afternoon, almost 24 hours after the incident.

Howard said Childers had left one relative's home and was en route to another relative's home when the ATV rolled over, pinning him underneath.

Both relatives had assumed Childers was at the other relative's home until they talked on Sunday.

A search by the relatives turned up Childers' body in a pasture between the two homes.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and Howard said it appears he died shortly after the crash Saturday.

Childers' body was sent to the state Medical Examiner's Office in Tulsa, but Howard says no foul play is suspected.
