Driver Arrested After Head-On Crash On Highway 169 At BA Expressway

Tulsa Police say the driver of an SUV got on the Creek Turnpike going the wrong way early Wednesday morning, then headed north in the southbound lanes of Highway 169 then crashed head-on into a car.

Police say the crash happened at about 3 a.m. where 169 crosses over the Broken Arrow Expressway.

The driver of the car was shaken up so EMSA took her to a hospital to be checked out. Police say she is expected to be okay.

Police arrested the driver of the SUV, Jessica Kennon, 36, of Jenks on complaints of DUI and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

The roadway was closed for about an hour while crews cleaned up the wreckage.
