Hearing Begins For Suspects In Dewey Child Death

The preliminary hearing for three Dewey residents charged in the death of a 15-month-old girl in February will resume next month.

Marcus Mitchell, 22, Ashley Williamson, 23, and Juanchelle Fitch, 48, were charged after Emma Beth Warmberodt's body was found outside their home on February 24, 2012.

Mitchell is charged with first degree murder. Williamson is charged with enabling child abuse and child abuse, and Fitch is charged with accessory after the fact of first degree murder.

The state presented two witnesses at this week's hearing, a Dewey Police officer and a paramedic.

Mitchell, Williamson and Fitch remain in the Washington County jail. 

The hearing resumes on September 17, 2012.
