Former Checotah Teacher To Be Sentenced For Rape, Sodomy

A former Checotah school teacher waived her right to a jury trial and entered a blind plea to nine out of 29 counts filed against her Wednesday morning.

Michelle McCutchan, 40, entered the plea in McIntosh County district court.  The charges include one count of rape, three counts of sodomy, one count of child neglect and four counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor.

The other 20 counts were dismissed.

McCutchan is set to be sentenced September 5, 2012.
