Punctured Gas Line Closes Part Of Utica Avenue

Utica was closed in the area of 5th Street Tuesday afternoon after a gas line was punctured, the city says.

A private contractor was excavating the area for a private fiber optic project and hit the gas line.

ONG crews were on the site Tuesday to repair the line and crews with the City of Tulsa will begin to work on the street Wednesday morning.

Next Monday, July 30, the city will close the southbound lane at 5th and Utica Avenue to continue work on the street restoration.
