Oklahoma District 2 Candidates Faught And Mullin To Debate

Before MarkWayne Mullin and George Faught meet in the August 28th run-off election, they'll face each other on the issues Monday evening at Rogers State University in Claremore.

Congressional candidates square off in a Campaign 2012 debate. Before MarkWayne Mullin and George Faught meet in the August 28th run-off election, they'll face each other on the issues Monday evening at Rogers State University in Claremore.

Mullin and Faught both want to replace Dan Boren in Oklahoma's Second Congressional District.

Mullin won 42 percent of the vote in last month's the six-man GOP primary. Faught was next closest - with 23 percent.

The candidates tackle the issues beginning at 7 p.m. - and if you can't be there in person, you can watch it on RSU-TV.

The winner of their run-off election will face one of two Democrats who are also in a run-off.

Mullin lives near Westville and was raised in Adair County. He graduated from Stilwell High School. Mullin took over the family plumbing company at age 19 when his father became ill. He now owns Mullin Plumbing, Mullin Farms, Mullin Properties and Mullin Services. A rancher, rodeo and martial arts enthusiast, Mullin hosts the radio call-in talk show "House Talk."

Married to Christie with three children.

George Faught

Faught is a Muskogee resident who currently serves in the Oklahoma House of Representatives for the 14th District (first elected in 2006), where he was the first Republican to be elected to that district. He graduated from Bryan Institute. Faught is the owner and operator of CleanPro carpet cleaning disaster restoration business.

Married to Becky with three children: Tyler, Jamison and Savannah.
