19-Year-Old Dies After Rolling Jeep On 71st Street In Wagoner County

His vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and rolled 1 ½ times before coming to rest on its roof.

A 19-year-old is dead after rolling his Jeep in Wagoner County, about 6.5 miles from Broken Arrow.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Matthew Steven Hulsey was westbound on 71st Street, ran off the roadway to the right, overcorrected and traveled across the centerline.

His vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and rolled 1 ½ times before coming to rest on its roof.

Hulsey was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigating trooper recorded the cause of collision as unsafe speed.

Hulsey was not wearing a seatbelt, the report said.
