Sallisaw Man Arrested On Complaint Of Internet Stalking Of A Child

A 25-year-old Oklahoma man was arrested Sunday in Flippin, Arkansas on complaints of Internet Stalking of a Child and Computer Child Pornography.

Westley Pearce of Sallisaw was taken into custody following a cyber crimes investigation by the Flippin Police Department, according to Police Chief Dusty Smith.

Smith says during their investigation, Pearce sent sexually explicit messages and pornographic images of himself to an undercover officer whom Pearce believed to be a 14-year-old female.

He says Pearce made arrangements to meet the girl in Flippin. After driving three hours to the meeting location, Pearce was arrested without incident.

Bond for Pearce in the Marion County jail was set at $50,000.
