Tulsa center Steven Idlet has been named to the five-member conference all-academic team.
University of Tulsa men's basketball player Steven Idlet has been recognized for his academic achievements being named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team.
The fifth-year senior maintained a 3.24 grade point average while averaging 10.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and one block per game for the Golden Hurricane.
The Prairie Grove, Arkansas native became Tulsa's 34th player in school history to score 1,000 career points. He went over the 1,000-point plateau against Tulane on February 25, finishing the game with 1,006 points. Idlet has scored in double-figures in 15 games this year, including a career-best 23 points against Southeastern Louisiana.
Idlet, who is majoring in History, was also named to the league's all-academic team as a sophomore during the 2009-10 season.
The remaining C-USA All-Academic Team includes East Carolina's Maurice Kemp, A.J. Rompza of UCF and Rice's senior duo of Connor Frizzelle and Lucas Kuipers.
Tulsa will take on Memphis Saturday, March 3 at 11 a.m. on CBS.
