Okmulgee Police Investigate Deadly Shooting

Okmulgee Police are hoping someone will come forward with information about a deadly shooting in their community Monday evening.

The shooting happened February 20, 2012, in the 300 block of North Muskogee.

When officers arrived they discovered Donald Richardson, 46, dead in the backyard of a home.

Robert James, 59 of Okmulgee is being held in the Okmulgee County jail on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill.

Okmulgee Police Chief Joe Prentice says officers have been unable to identify anyone who witnessed the shooting.

Prentice says the investigation is ongoing and asks anyone with information to call the Okmulgee Police Department at 918-756-3511.
