Man On Tulsa Police's Most Wanted List Arrested Early Monday

Tulsa Police with assistance from Northeast Oklahoma Fugitive Task Force arrested a 22-year-old man early Monday who they say badly beat his girlfriend, then poured bleach on her and her two children in April 2011.

Tulsa Police with assistance from the Northeast Oklahoma Fugitive Task Force arrested a 22-year-old man early Monday who they say badly beat his girlfriend, then poured bleach on her and her two children in April 2011.

Curtis Barber was arrested at 1:15 a.m. at a home in the 6300 block of East 9th.

According to court records, Barber got upset at his girlfriend after he could not find a pair of shoes she had bought for him.  After beating her, Barber poured bleach on her and her 1-year-old and 2-month-old children, according to police.

He was booked into the Tulsa County jail on charges of domestic assault and battery, maiming, kidnapping and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

A court hearing is set for February 29, 2012.
