Pizza Carne is a light mixture of meats on a pizza. Hearty enough for winter fare, but light enough to not make you feel guilty afterward!
Start with a 14 inch dough ball and roll, toss or push out to make a thin-to-your-taste crust ( If you don't want to make your own dough, you can purchase it at Andolini's for $3 )
Ingredients you'll need:
Capicola - spicy, tender Italian ham
Sopressata - italian dry-cured salami
Prosciutto - seasoned, salt- cured, and air-dried Italian ham
Whole milk mozzarella
Start by roasting garlic in a pan with olive oil for about 10 minutes. Once the garlic is brown it's ready to be used as roasted garlic. Spread the garlic and oil on the crust, then add your meat and lastly add your whole milk mozzarella. Bake at your oven's hottest temperature on a pre-heated baking stone (note, let the stone heat up for some time, at least 10 minutes, after the oven has reached temperature) until the crust is golden brown.
