NORMAN, Oklahoma – One of the oldest clichés in the coaching speak book is "just win and the rest will take care of itself."

But this is one of those situations where it couldn't apply more perfectly for the Sooners.

Their shot at the BCS title game is an outside one and would take several things falling into place, the majority of which they cannot control.

The one thing they can control is winning out. Beat Baylor, Iowa State and Oklahoma State and OU puts itself in the best possible position to make some noise in the title picture.

Several other things would have to happen along with it, however. OU is fifth in the BCS standings behind LSU, OSU, Alabama and Oregon. Beating the Cowboys would take them out of the equation, meaning that OU could be in the running against two other one-loss teams for a spot (or two) in the championship.

At that point, it would be up to the computers and voters as to which one-loss team would make it.

The Sooners' loss against Tech is not a pretty one, but the prospect of slipping into the title game is enough to keep the players and coaches focused.

News 9's Steve McGehee was in Norman to get some reactions from players and coaches as to how they are approaching the final few games of the season.
