CREEK COUNTY, Oklahoma -- One man is dead after an early morning crash on the Creek Turnpike near 49th West Avenue.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an SUV heading west struck the rear of a westbound hay trailer, disabling the SUV.
A short time later a pickup truck heading westbound rear-ended the SUV, before crossing into the eastbound lanes and rolling down an embankment.
Troopers say the driver of the SUV, 37-year-old Andrew Sunderland of Tulsa, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck told troopers he did not see the disabled car until it was too late. He was taken to a hospital to be checked out.
Sapulpa Police located the hay trailer parked near 49th West Avenue and 61st Street South. The trailer showed damage believed have been caused by the SUV.
