MAYES COUNTY – For the second time in a week, Green Country farm animals have died after being shot with arrows.
The latest incident happened at a farm in Mayes County, where two deer were found shot to death.
Mayes County Sheriff Frank Cantey told News On 6 the owners of WhiteTail Deer Farm fed the deer about noon on Tuesday. They returned about an hour later to find two bucks dead.
Deputies say the deer were shot with arrows.
The owners told News On 6 they have about 270 deer on the farm.
Investigators said the arrows are a different kind than the ones used to shoot and kill five cows near Oologah earlier this week. A $3,500 reward is being offered in that case.
Anyone with information in this latest case is urged to call the Mayes County Sheriff's Office at 918-825-3535.
