SKIATOOK, Okla. -- The Cascia Hall Commandos stayed alive in the area round in Skiatook on Thursday, beating the Catoosa Indians 69-57.
Nick Wood of Cascia Hall led all scorers with 21 points, while Braeden Beer paced the Indians with 19. In the first quarter, Catoosa was able to build a 15-9 lead over the Commandos. After a strong second quarter, Cascia had the 39-32 edge going into halftime.
The Commandos led in double digits for most of the second half thanks, in part, to Nick Wood. Midway through the fourth quarter, just after the Indians had cut their deficit to 9, Wood hit back-to-back three’s to put the game away.
With the loss, Catoosa is eliminated from the playoffs. Cascia Hall will play either Tulsa McClain or Metro Christian on Friday.
