OKLAHOMA CITY -- Coaching legend Mike Little died Friday, according to a source close to the Little family.

The 68-year-old is known throughout the state as one of the most influential coaches. He won state titles during his time at Putnam City West and Putnam City North and has been credited with turning around struggling football programs, including Yukon where his grandson now plays.

It remains unknown what caused Little’s death and Bethany Police Department refused to comment.

The former coach’s funeral will be held at the Westminister Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City on Feb. 2 at 1 p.m.
