TULSA, Oklahoma – In a rematch of a game that took place 11 days ago, this time 5A #6 East Central got the best of #5 Central 57-43.
Earlier this month, the Central Braves took care of business at their house, beating the Cardinals 60-49. But on Tuesday night at The Birdhouse, the Cardinals took advantage of woeful first half shooting by the Braves to earn a victory. Central made just two field goals in the second quarter, one of which was a lay-up by Ryan Devers with less than 10 seconds to go. At the end of the 1st half, East Central had built a 26-16 lead. By the end of the third period of play, the Cardinals led had swelled to 46-29.
With this result, the Braves and Cardinals are both 10-3 on the season and are tied for second place in the Green Country Conference. Central will return to action on Saturday at Rogers with a special tip time of 5:30 pm. East Central’s next game is on Friday against Rogers at 8 pm.
