Scholar Athlete of the Week: Chris Turner

Chris Turner is a two-sport star for Lincoln Christian School, starting in both football and baseball.

He is a two-position starter for the Bulldog football team, taking the reins at quarterback and starting at safety.

But with all his accolades on the field, his accomplishments in the classroom might be just as impressive.

Through all of his practices, games and workouts, Turner has also managed to maintain a 3.9 GPA in high school and has never gotten a “C” on his transcript.

The senior is a captain for the Bulldogs’ football team, which knocked off Morris and Christian Heritage but lost to Holland Hall in week three.

He is a three-year starter at outfielder for the baseball team, which made its first state tournament appearance in the Spring of 2010.
